House Representative

Bob
Brooks

Bob Brooks is a champion for working families and safe, healthy communities, serving over two decades as a firefighter, union president, and community advocate.

After holding a dozen jobs across the food and service, landscaping, and warehousing industries, Brooks moved to Pennsylvania and joined the Bethlehem Fire Department, where he became a mainstay for 20 years. Brooks immediately became involved in the union and worked his way up to president of the Pennsylvania Professional Fire Fighters Association, where he advocated for better wages, healthcare, benefits, and mental health resources for first responders. An integral part of his community, Brooks does everything from running a family-operated snow plow and lawn care business to coaching baseball at the local high school and advocating for first responders on the floor of the Pennsylvania Capitol.

As a representative, Brooks will focus on lowering costs for American families by bringing renewable energy projects online, enacting data center reforms, and holding utility monopolies accountable for their relentless price-gouging.

Brooks joins the U.S. House after defeating Representative Ryan Mackenzie, who earned a 9% lifetime score on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard.

“Living in the Lehigh Valley and growing up in the Berkshires, I was taught from a young age the importance of conservation and environmental stewardship. Today, I own my own snow plow business, and there’s not much snow anymore. I’m all in to combat climate change.” – LCVAF Questionnaire
