Chris Deluzio is a Thornburg, Pennsylvania native, Iraq War veteran, and voting rights attorney who is committed to protecting our democracy abroad and at home.

Deluzio received a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy. After graduating, he served as an officer in the Navy and deployed overseas multiple times, including in Iraq. Deluzio then received his law degree from the Georgetown University School of Law. He clerked for a federal judge and then worked at the Brennan Center for Justice on the voting rights and election security teams. Later in his career, he served as the policy director of the University of Pittsburgh Institute for Cyber Law, Policy, and Security.

As a representative, Deluzio will work to reduce carbon emissions, invest in clean energy sources of the future, and protect and create good paying union jobs.

Deluzio joins the U.S. House to fill the seat vacated by Representative Conor Lamb, who unsuccessfully ran for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania and earned a 91% lifetime score on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard.

In his own words:

“We need bold and swift action to make western Pennsylvania communities resilient to the effects of climate change and to secure our children’s future on earth. We all deserve clean air and water and strong union jobs.”
