House Representative

Dan
Koh

MA-06
D

Dan Koh is an experienced policy expert and was crucial in the Biden-Harris administration’s crafting, passing, and implementing landmark clean energy and infrastructure funding.

After earning his undergraduate and MBA degrees from Harvard, Koh worked as chief of staff for former Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, helping the administration’s initiatives advancing affordable housing, education access, and good-paying jobs. He was later elected to the Andover Select Board, where he expanded the town’s clean energy options and went on to serve as vice chair. Koh was then selected for several senior-level roles in President Biden’s Cabinet, and worked closely on the administration’s agenda to deploy clean energy and build resilient infrastructure while creating union jobs. Beyond his public service work, Koh also served in executive roles for the technology firm HqO and the Huffington Post Media Group, and founded “The People’s Cabinet,” a digital media organization that hosts podcasts pushing back against the Trump administration.

As a representative, Koh will fight for clean air and safe drinking water across Massachusetts by appropriately funding environmental agencies and holding Big Polluters accountable for their damages to community and environmental health. Koh is the first Asian American to represent Massachusetts in Congress.

Koh joins the U.S. House to fill the seat of former Representative Seth Moulton, who earned a 96% lifetime score on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard and vacated his seat to run for the U.S. Senate.

“I want my children to grow up in an America that values its public lands and waters. I want them to breathe clean air and ride on a fast public transportation system. I want them to go to our National Parks and tell me the names of all the animals who inhabit it. Climate action should be personal to all of us.” – LCVAF Questionnaire
