WASHINGTON, DC—The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, which works to elect candidates who will implement sound environmental policies, announced today its endorsement of Michael Eggman for Congress (CA-10). Eggman is committed to investing in a clean energy economy and combating climate change.

“Michael Eggman will work to protect public health and combat climate change,” said LCV Action Fund President Gene Karpinski. “He will fight for commonsense policies that make America a leader in clean energy while creating jobs and breaking our dependence on dirty fossil fuels.”

As a farmer, Eggman has experienced firsthand the effects of climate change, from record breaking heat waves to longer droughts. California is currently facing one of the worst droughts in its history, threatening the state’s water supply, and devastating the agricultural industry. Eggman is committed to tackling climate change, and will strive to find commonsense solutions to mitigate the impacts that climate disruption has on farmers and rural communities.   

Eggman supports policies that will spur investment and innovation in the clean energy industry while reducing our reliance on Big Oil. He will also work to protect the air we breathe and the water we drink by fighting to defend the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act.
