WASHINGTON, D.C.-Today the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund and Montana Conservation Voters (MCV) Congressional Action Fund congratulated Jon Tester on his victory in the Democratic Primary for U.S. Senate. The two groups endorsed Senator Tester for reelection because of his strong environmental record and relentless defense of public lands in the Senate.
“LCV Action Fund is proud to congratulate Jon Tester on tonight’s victory,” said LCV Action Fund Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld. “This November, Montanans will have a clear choice in the Senate race and LCV Action Fund will work to make sure we reelect Jon Tester so that he can continue to fight for all Montanans.”
“Senator Tester is a champion for our public lands,” said MCV Congressional Action Fund Acting Executive Director Neal Ullman. “After tonight’s primary win, we will continue to stand with Jon Tester through the general election in November to ensure we send him back to the Senate where he will defend Montana values and our outdoor way of life.”
About LCV Action Fund
The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, the connected federal political action committee (PAC) of the League of Conservation Voters, works to elect candidates who will implement sound environmental laws and policies, and defeat those who stand in the way of progress. Since the 1994 election cycle, LCVAF has helped elect and re-elect 74 U.S. senators and 331 members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Over the last several years, our efforts have also helped elevate climate change and clean energy as critical issues in key elections.
