Washington, D.C. – The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) congratulates Representatives Katherine Clark (MA-05), Seth Moulton (MA-06), and Ayanna Pressley (MA-07) on their wins in Massachusetts.
“Katherine Clark, Seth Moulton, and Ayanna Pressley have all been tremendous advocates for our clean energy future and for protecting our democracy, and today voters showed that they want leaders who will take bold action on climate,” said LCV President Gene Karpinski. “LCV is excited to work alongside these leaders as they continue to help lead the fight for climate action, jobs and justice in Congress.”
Environmental donors contributed nearly $80,000 to Massachusetts candidates via GiveGreen. GiveGreen — a partnership between LCV Victory Fund and NRDC Action Votes that helps grassroots donors directly contribute to pro-environment candidates — raised a midterm record $26.9 million for the 2022 cycle.
Environmental League of Massachusetts, LCV’s state affiliate, is also celebrating the victory of climate leader Governor-elect Maura Healy.
These are just some of the climate champions who won up and down the ballot in Massachusetts, demonstrating that leaning into environmental issues is both good policy and good politics.
