Washington, D.C. – The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) congratulates Senator Jeanne Shaheen and Representatives Chris Pappas (NH-01) and Annie Kuster (NH-02) on their victories in New Hampshire. 

“Jeanne Shaheen, Chris Pappas, and Annie Kuster have done a tremendous job prioritizing the environment in Congress and their victories show that Granite Staters want to continue to see bold action on climate,” said LCV President Gene Karpinski. “LCV is excited to continue working with these climate and environmental justice champions as we work to advance New Hampshire’s clean energy future.”

LCV’s GreenRoots member mobilization program turned out LCV members to volunteer for the Biden, Shaheen and Pappas campaigns as part of a nationwide field program to help elect environmental champions that engaged nearly 2,600 LCV members. 

Environmental donors contributed over $300,000 to New Hampshire candidates via GiveGreen. GiveGreen — a partnership between LCV Victory Fund, NextGen America and the NRDC Action Fund PAC that helps grassroots donors directly contribute to pro-environment candidates — raised a record $43 million for the 2020 cycle.

LCV Action Fund endorsed Shaheen, Pappas and Kuster because of their commitments to climate action and building a clean energy economy. 

These are just some of the climate champions who won up and down the ballot, demonstrating that leaning into environmental issues is both good policy and good politics.
