Washington, D.C.– The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) congratulates Representative Chris Pappas (NH-01) and Representative-elect Maggie Goodlander (NH-02) on their wins in New Hampshire. We look forward to working together in the 119th Congress and beyond to continue making progress on addressing the climate crisis and protecting our democracy.
“Voters in New Hampshire proved their commitment to fighting for a cleaner, safer, healthier climate and protecting our democracy by re-electing Representative Chris Pappas and electing Maggie Goodlander to the House of Representatives,” said LCV President Gene Karpinski. “LCV is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with these two powerhouses to advance the country’s climate and clean energy goals.”
LCV’s GreenRoots member mobilization program turned out LCV members to volunteer for the Harris, Pappas and Goodlander campaigns as part of a nationwide field program to help elect environmental champions that engaged 10,000 total LCV members.
GiveGreen — a partnership between LCV Victory Fund and NRDC Action Votes that helps grassroots donors directly contribute to pro-environment candidates including in New Hampshire — raised a record $58.5 million for the 2024 cycle.
These are just some of the climate champions who won up and down the ballot in New Hampshire, demonstrating that leaning into environmental issues is both good policy and good politics.
