Washington, D.C. — The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) congratulates Representative-elect Denise Powell (NE-02) on her win in Nebraska.
“LCV congratulates Representative-elect Denise Powell on her win in Nebraska!” said LCV President Pete Maysmith. “Powell’s victory in Nebraska proves that voters on both sides of the aisle care about protecting clean air, clean water, and a livable climate, as well as reining in out-of-control energy costs. We look forward to the opportunity to work with Representative-elect Powell to advance clean energy solutions in the new Congress.”
Environmental donors contributed $254,000 to Nebraska candidates via GiveGreen. GiveGreen — a partnership between LCV Victory Fund and NRDC Action Votes that helps grassroots donors directly contribute to pro-environment candidates — raised $28.8 million for the 2026 cycle.
Representative-elect Denise Powell is just one of the climate champions who won up and down the ballot in Nebraska, reaffirming that addressing the climate crisis and affordable clean energy solutions are winning issues for voters.
