LCV Congratulates Representative Jahana Hayes and Representative-elect Luke Bronin in Connecticut

Nov 4, 2026

Washington, D.C. — The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) congratulates Representative Jahana Hayes (CT-05) and Representative-elect Luke Bronin (CT-01) on their wins in Connecticut.

“Congratulations to these experienced Connecticut leaders on their election victories!” said LCV President Pete Maysmith. “Representative Hayes has been a champion for environmental justice and children’s health during her time in Congress, standing up for clean air and water, advancing tailpipe pollution-free school buses, and opposing efforts to roll back pollution protections. Bronin advanced climate action and justice as mayor of Hartford, establishing the city’s first Office of Sustainability and the Solar for All program to deploy more affordable clean energy and energy efficiency for low-income residents. As energy costs rise and our environment faces growing threats, we look forward to working with these leaders to build a healthier, more affordable future for Connecticut communities.”

Environmental donors contributed $52,000 to Connecticut candidates via GiveGreen. GiveGreen — a partnership between LCV Victory Fund and NRDC Action Votes that helps grassroots donors directly contribute to pro-environment candidates — raised $28.8 million for the 2026 cycle.

These are just some of the climate champions who won up and down the ballot in Connecticut, reaffirming that addressing the climate crisis and affordable clean energy solutions are winning issues for voters.
