Washington, D.C.– The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) congratulates Representatives Joe Neguse (CO-02) and Brittany Pettersen (CO-07) on their victories and returns to Congress. We look forward to working together in the 119th Congress and beyond to continue making progress on addressing the climate crisis and protecting our democracy.
“Coloradans voted to protect our public lands, clean air, and clean water by choosing environmental champions,” said LCV President Gene Karpinksi. “Voters in Colorado made it clear they want leaders who will deliver real climate action, protect our voting rights, and stand up to big polluters. Champions like Representatives Neguse and Pettersen took their track record of success to voters and won. We couldn’t be more excited to work with them again.”
GiveGreen — a partnership between LCV Victory Fund and NRDC Action Votes that helps grassroots donors directly contribute to pro-environment candidates including in Colorado — raised a record $58.5 million for the 2024 cycle.
These are just some of the climate champions who won up and down the ballot in Colorado, demonstrating that leaning into environmental issues is both good policy and good politics.
