Washington, D.C. — The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) congratulates Senator John Hickenlooper, Representatives Joe Neguse (CO-02) and Brittany Pettersen (CO-07) and Representatives-elect Jessica Killin (CO-05) and Manny Rutinel (CO-08) on their wins in Colorado.
“Congratulations to Colorado’s climate champions Senator John Hickenlooper, Representatives Joe Neguse, and Brittany Pettersen, and Representatives-elect Jessica Killin and Manny Rutinel on their exciting wins!” said LCV President Pete Maysmith. “Public lands are central to Coloradans’ identity, and they have been under extreme assault by the Trump administration. These winners have worked tirelessly to push back on Trump’s attacks on public lands, environmental protections, clean energy and public health, and we look forward to continuing to work alongside them in the 120th Congress.”
LCV Victory Fund invested over $2 million to elect Manny Rutinel and defeat Dirty Dozen member Gabe Evans. The spending included digital ads that focused on Evans’ role in raising energy costs, allegiance to President Trump, and his votes to support tariffs and the War in Iran. LCV Victory Fund ran a large-scale on the ground organizing program supporting Manny Rutinel and knocked over 73,000 doors from September through Election Day in Colorado.
Environmental donors contributed $577,000 to Colorado candidates via GiveGreen. GiveGreen — a partnership between LCV Victory Fund and NRDC Action Votes that helps grassroots donors directly contribute to pro-environment candidates — raised $28.8 million for the 2026 cycle.
These are just some of the climate champions who won up and down the ballot in Colorado, reaffirming that addressing the climate crisis and affordable clean energy solutions are winning issues for voters.
