Washington, D.C. — The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) congratulates Senator-elect Juliana Stratton, Representatives Delia Ramirez (IL-03), Sean Casten (IL-06), Brad Schneider (IL-10), Nikki Budzinski (IL-13), and Representatives-elect Donna Miller (IL-02), Patty Garcia (IL-04), La Shawn K. Ford (IL-07), Melissa Bean (IL-08), and Daniel Biss (IL-09) on their wins in Illinois.
“Yesterday, voters across Illinois sent a clear message that they want leaders who will fight for an equitable clean energy transition and the protection of our air, water, and communities,” said LCV President Pete Maysmith. “We’re proud to see this group of climate champions elected to Congress, where they will help hold Big Polluters accountable, fight to lower energy costs by advancing clean energy, and lead the way in upholding democracy for all.”
Environmental donors contributed $121,000 to Illinois candidates via GiveGreen. GiveGreen — a partnership between LCV Victory Fund and NRDC Action Votes that helps grassroots donors directly contribute to pro-environment candidates — raised $28.8 million for the 2026 cycle.
These are just some of the climate champions who won up and down the ballot in Illinois, reaffirming that addressing the climate crisis and affordable clean energy solutions are winning issues for voters.
