Washington, D.C.– The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) congratulates Senator Jacky Rosen and Representative Susie Lee (NV-03) on their wins in Nevada. We look forward to working together in the 119th Congress and beyond to continue making progress on addressing the climate crisis and protecting our democracy.
“This year, Nevadans saw 112 days in a row with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees,” said LCV President Gene Karpinksi. “They are experiencing the impacts of the climate crisis firsthand, and Senator Jacky Rosen and Representative Susie Lee have proven that they are dedicated to fighting for the people of Nevada and the country by championing a clean energy future. LCV is thrilled to continue our work with Senator Rosen and Representative Lee to address this crisis and create a safer climate future for us all.”
LCV Victory Fund invested $1.3 million to defeat Dirty Dozen member Sam Brown and reelect Senator Jacky Rosen. The spending included a field campaign, paid relational, GOTV mail, and a GOTV SMS program, as well as a Spanish language ad in partnership with EDF Action Votes, which called out Sam Brown’s scheme to use campaign donations marketed for other Republican candidates to cover his own campaign debt. LCV Victory Fund’s field program supporting Jacky Rosen knocked on over 350,000 doors from September through Election Day.
LCV’s GreenRoots member mobilization program turned out LCV members to volunteer for the Rosen and Lee campaigns as part of a nationwide field program to help elect environmental champions that engaged 10,000 total LCV members.
GiveGreen — a partnership between LCV Victory Fund and NRDC Action Votes that helps grassroots donors directly contribute to pro-environment candidates including in Nevada — raised a record $58.5 million for the 2024 cycle.
These are just some of the climate champions who won up and down the ballot in Nevada, demonstrating that leaning into environmental issues is both good policy and good politics.
