Washington, D.C. — The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) congratulates Senator Jon Ossoff and Representative-elect Jasmine Clark (GA-13) on their wins in Georgia.
“Georgians know firsthand the impacts of extreme weather, air and water pollution, and rising energy costs on their families and communities, and tonight they chose leaders who will fight for a healthier, more affordable future,” said LCV President Pete Maysmith. “Senator Ossoff and Representative-elect Clark will fight to hold polluters accountable, to expand clean energy to lower our costs, to create good jobs and to protect a free and fair democracy. We congratulate these climate champions and look forward to working with them to protect Georgia communities, hold Big Polluters accountable, and defend our democracy.”
LCV Victory Fund named Mike Collins to the 2026 Dirty Dozen list of candidates who consistently side against the environment and are running in competitive races that have a serious chance to affect the outcome. Mike Collins earned his spot for his votes in support of the Republican Tax Law, gutting the Inflation Reduction Act clean energy tax credits, and for authoring the PERMIT ACT, which limits the Clean Water Act and expands exemptions for agricultural and pesticide pollution.
LCV’s GreenRoots member mobilization program turned out LCV members to volunteer for Senator Ossoff’s campaign as part of a nationwide field program to help elect environmental champions that drove over 32,500 volunteer shifts that turned out voters through 1,200,000 door knocks, phone calls, and letters.
Environmental donors contributed $1,035,000 to Georgia candidates via GiveGreen. GiveGreen — a partnership between LCV Victory Fund and NRDC Action Votes that helps grassroots donors directly contribute to pro-environment candidates — raised $28.8 million for the 2026 cycle.
These are just some of the climate champions who won up and down the ballot in Georgia, reaffirming that addressing the climate crisis and affordable clean energy solutions are winning issues for voters.
