Washington, D.C.– The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) congratulates Senator Maria Cantwell, Representatives Suzan DelBene (WA-01), Rick Larsen (WA-02), Pramila Jayapal (WA-07), Kim Schrier (WA-08), and Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) and Representative-elect Emily Randall (WA-06) on their victories in Washington. We look forward to working together in the 119th Congress and beyond to continue making progress on addressing the climate crisis and protecting our democracy.

“Washington has so many of the powerful voices in Congress for a reason,” said LCV President Gene Karpinski. “Whether it is championing some of the country’s strongest democracy protections or landmark climate laws, Washington is a state that knows how to lead. We’re excited to have Senator Cantwell back fighting for public lands and healthy waterways and know the country is better with her representing the Evergreen state once again. We are thrilled she will continue to be joined by so many incredible leaders in the House as well, including Representative-elect Emily Randall, a leader on environmental justice who makes history as the first openly LGBTQ+ member of Congress from Washington and the first LGBTQ+ Latina in Congress.”
