Washington, D.C.— In response to Senate Republicans releasing the latest bill text of the Big Ugly Bill, the League of Conservation Voters released the following statement from Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, Tiernan Sittenfeld:

“The Senate Republicans have somehow found a way to make what was already the most anti-environmental and economically destructive bill in history even worse – all to satisfy the most extreme members of their conference and oil and gas CEOs. Senators who have spoken out against the Republican Rate Hike and the selloff of our treasured public lands must decide TODAY if they stand with their constituents who overwhelmingly oppose increased energy bills, losing clean energy jobs, and creating billionaire playgrounds on lands that belong to all of us. All members of Congress must oppose this bill.”
