Washington, D.C. – In response to the MSNBC Democratic debate, the last before the New Hampshire primary, LCV National Press Secretary Seth Stein issued the following statement:
“Hillary is a true champion on environmental issues, and tonight we again saw a leader that will preserve and build upon President Obama’s legacy. Her vision was clear tonight, that climate change is not just a challenge but an opportunity to create new jobs and make the United States a clean energy super power. At the same time, she reiterated her longstanding commitment to environmental justice by calling to not only fix Flint’s water supply, but to support those most impacted with proper healthcare. Hillary’s call to action on Flint sets her apart from candidates like Trump, Cruz, and Rubio, who are too ready to lay blame without addressing the real impact on the community – and that is simply not the kind of leader we need.”
