“Tonight, Tim Kaine led the night by emphasizing the need to build a clean energy economy and to confront the climate crisis, echoing Hillary Clinton’s leadership in placing climate and energy at the forefront of her campaign. In stark contrast to this vision for the future, within the first minutes of the debate Pence repeatedly and forcefully stood up for dirty coal. Pence embraced Trump’s dangerous policies that will take us backwards.”
