Maxwell Alejandro Frost is a former organizer with extensive experience working on political campaigns and engaging youth.

Frost began his career as a fellow for President Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign, before working as a field organizer for Hillary Clinton’s campaign and then as the deputy state director for MoveOn in the 2016 election. He was the Florida organizer for Democracy Spring and deputy communications director for Floridians for a Fair Shake. He also served as the field manager for the Amendment 4 campaign for the ACLU of Florida, which restored voting rights to over 1.6 million Floridians who had previous felony convictions, before becoming an organizing specialist for the ACLU. He was a national advance manager for Senator Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign and the national organizing director for March for Our Lives, where he helped lead the organization’s youth voter turnout and advocacy efforts. Frost is the first Afro-Cuban person and first member of Gen Z to be elected to Congress.

As a representative, Frost will work to enact bold policies that combat the climate crisis, prioritize working class families, and center environmental justice so that all communities have access to clean water, air, and healthy food.

Frost joins the U.S. House to fill the seat of Val Demings, who vacated her seat to run for the U.S. Senate and earned a 97% lifetime score on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard.
