Charlotte, NC — In the final days before the special election in North Carolina’s Ninth District, the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Victory Fund has ramped up its digital ad and direct mail program in support of Marine combat veteran and solar energy entrepreneur Dan McCready.

As of September 5, LCV Victory Fund’s NC-09 digital ads received almost 4 million impressions, and direct mail pieces were sent to approximately 250,000 voters. The layered communication campaign continues to target North Carolina Democrats who don’t always vote in off-year elections.

Included in the campaign are two new mailers, ‘Serving’ and ‘Boots,’ and a set of digital video ads that contrast McCready’s record of putting his country first, serving in the military, and creating solar energy jobs with opponent Dan Bishop’s record of favoring the special interest polluters.

“It is more important than ever that the Ninth District is represented in Washington by environmental champion Dan McCready,” said Pete Maysmith, LCV Victory Fund SVP of Campaigns. “Dan Bishop voted to let big corporations pollute North Carolina’s air and water. He puts special interests over the health and well being of North Carolinians.”
