WASHINGTON, DC— The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, which works to elect candidates who will implement sound environmental policies, announced today its endorsement of Suzan DelBene for re-election to Congress (WA-1). DelBene is a tried-and-true environmental leader who consistently advocates for clean energy initiatives and defends our nation’s public lands.

A graduate of the University of Washington’s business school, DelBene quickly found success in the technology industry, helping found drugstore.com, serving as CEO and president of Nimble Technology, and as vice president of Microsoft’s mobile communications. Prior to being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, DelBene was appointed director of the Washington State Department of Revenue by Governor Christine Gregoire.  In Congress, DelBene has been a strong leader on climate change and the environment, and is a member of the Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition (SEEC).
