Washington, D.C. – The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, which works to elect candidates who will implement support sound environmental policies, announced today its endorsement of Representative Donald McEachin for re-election in Virginia’s 4th Congressional District.

Since his time in the Virginia state legislature, where he co-founded  the Virginia Environment and Renewable Energy Caucus, Representative Donald McEachin has been a leader in the fight for climate action. He has proven that he’s a committed advocate for the communities most impacted by climate change as a co-founder of the United for Climate and Environmental Justice Task Force. He has spoken out against the Trump administration’s attacks on our clean air and clean water and has introduced legislation to require federal agencies to fully consider the impact of climate pollutants on our health and environment. He has advocated for public lands and supported legislation to permanently reauthorize the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF). Representative McEachin has earned an 89% lifetime score on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard.
