Washington, D.C. — Today the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) released the creative for its previously announced $1 million advertising campaign in support of the American Jobs Plan targeting constituents of key U.S. Senators and Representatives across 17 states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Ads are running while Senators and Representatives are in their home states and districts over this week’s Congressional recess.

The dozens of video and display ads are running on social media platforms, YouTube, and local news channels. Ads are also running in print in local newspapers in key markets. Digital billboards will also go up soon in Arizona, Georgia and New Hampshire.

“Congress has a once-in-a-generation opportunity to dramatically improve people’s lives, tackle climate change, and create high quality jobs,” said LCV President Gene Karpinski. “Congress should immediately take up and pass the full American Jobs Plan upon return to DC. When it comes to the climate crisis we don’t have any more time to waste.”

As LCV announced last week, the organization is investing over $10 million in a massive advocacy campaign to pass the American Jobs Plan. LCV state affiliates are hosting over 20 American Jobs Plan events, town halls, and public meetings over recess with U.S. Senators and Representatives. More info here.
