Washington D.C.- In response to the news that Senator Tom Udall will not seek re-election in 2020, the League of Conservation Voters released the following statement from Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld:

“Senator Tom Udall is a tremendous champion for the environment and public health in New Mexico and across the country. During his time in Congress, he has led efforts to protect our treasured public lands, wildlife, air, and water. He has also worked tirelessly to accelerate our transition to renewable energy and to combat the climate crisis, while earning an LCV lifetime score of 96%. We look forward to continuing to work together for the rest of this Congress and know that he will continue to be an essential voice on the issues facing our nation long after he has left elected office.”
