This morning, the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) led the following environmental group coalition letter to Congress urging the House to support H.R. 51, the Washington, D.C. Admission Act, which would extend equal representation in our federal government and the fundamental right to self-govern to the more than seven hundred thousand residents of our nation’s capital.

In addition to LCV, the groups who signed on are: California League of Conservation Voters, Center for Biological Diversity, Chesapeake Climate Action Network, Clean Water Action, Disciples Center for Public Witness, Earthjustice, Endangered Species Coalition, Environmental Justice Ministry, Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church, Friends of the Earth U.S., Greenpeace USA, Interfaith Power & Light, John Muir Project, Michigan League of Conservation Voters, Natural Resources Defense Council, NC League of Conservation Voters, NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice, Oil Change U.S., Our Climate Education Fund, Rachel Carson Council, Sierra Club, Southern Christian Coalition, Sustainable Energy & Economy Network, and The Wilderness Society.
