Dale’s family wanted to end their dependence on gas for heat for both health and climate reasons. So, when their 10-year-old HVAC system started leaking refrigerant, they decided to upgrade to a more energy efficient air source heat pump. 

Between receiving a tax credit of $2000 for installing a more efficient system thanks to the Biden-Harris administration’s Affordable Clean Energy Plan, and an additional $850 rebate from their local utility, Dale was able to save about 30% of the total cost of the system which is saving them money on their utility bills.
