IRA project: QCells solar panel factory built in Dalton, GA.

Supporting quotes:

  1. “QCells, the solar company… I think they’re fantastic.” (Politico)
  2. “The expansion of Q Cells will add more jobs to Dalton thanks to our good county and state people that worked together.” (Twitter)

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA-14), who has called the IRA “extremely dangerous” and a “disaster,” thinks QCells, a solar panel production company building a manufacturing facility in Greene’s district as a direct result of the Solar Energy Manufacturing in America Act within the Inflation Reduction Act, is a “fantastic” company.  Beyond that, she says, “The expansion of Q Cells will add more jobs to Dalton thanks to our good county and state people that worked together.”

And Greene’s seemingly supportive comments on Biden’s affordable clean energy plan doesn’t stop there. She, perhaps inadvertently, lauded the work of the Biden administration during a speech in Florida, “raving” that President Biden “had the largest public investment in social infrastructure and environmental programs that is actually finishing what FDR started, that LBJ expanded on, and Joe Biden is attempting to complete… Programs to address education, medical care, urban problems, rural poverty, transportation, Medicare, Medicaid, labor unions, and he still is working on it.”
