Through the Clean Energy for All campaign, LCV and our 30+ state affiliates in the Conservation Voters Movement have grown and mobilized grassroots power to advance clean energy across the nation. Together, we have demanded that our leaders respond with the urgency required by science and justice to confront the climate crisis, hold corporate polluters accountable, and unleash the possibilities of clean energy.
Nationwide, clean energy commitments are increasingly becoming a reality and clean energy development is booming, bringing real, tangible benefits to everyone, everywhere. This year, historic federal funding opportunities through the Inflation Reduction Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law made clean energy and energy efficiency opportunities more accessible, helping to lower energy bills, create good jobs, make communities more resilient, and clean up our air and water.
The 2023 Clean Energy Success in the States Report (PDF) details the progress toward equitable and just clean energy development that our state affiliates secured this year across the country.

“Whether it’s in the halls of our Statehouse or out in the communities, Conservation Voters for Idaho is constantly advocating for our shared goal of improving Idaho’s air, water, energy, and open spaces. Over the past years we have invested historic amounts into clean water, conservation, and outdoor recreation and the CVI team was with us every step of the way.”
Conservation Minnesota helped enact a historic 100% clean energy bill, putting the state on the path to have 100% carbon-free energy by 2040. It’s a big deal. But it didn’t happen overnight. Conservation Minnesota executed a strategic effort to move the public and urge elected leaders to act on climate change — and were ultimately successful in passing the legislation we need to protect our environment.
