El Fondo de Acción de la LCV Endosa a Morgan Carroll para el Congreso

WASHINGTON, DC—The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, which works to elect candidates who will implement sound environmental policies, announced today its endorsement of Morgan Carroll for Congress (CO-06). Carroll is a champion of environmental policies that safeguard Colorado’s air, water and public lands while working to protect public health. 

“Morgan Carroll is committed to protecting our environment and ensuring that our children and grandchildren have clean air to breathe and clean water to drink,” said LCV Action Fund President Gene Karpinski. “She stands up to big polluters to protect public health and the environment and safeguards our treasured lands that are so vital to our outdoor economy.” 

In Colorado, State Senator Carroll has been a leader on clean energy, helping to double the state’s clean energy standards and quadruple roof-top solar use, creating jobs and lowering utility costs. She has also advocated for a renewable energy financing bill to make clean energy more affordable and accessible. Additionally, Carroll has stood up to big polluters and and protected public health by working to hold oil and gas operations accountable for air and water contamination and implement air quality rules. 

“In the state legislature, Senator Carroll has been a strong advocate for our environment and our families, and she is the leader Coloradans need in Congress,” said Pete Maysmith, Executive Director of Conservation Colorado. “She is a staunch proponent for building a clean energy economy that creates good-paying jobs, protects Coloradans public health, and reduces carbon pollution.”

“Whether it is increasing our energy independence, protecting our treasured parks and monuments or keeping our planet safe for the next generation, I along with a majority of Coloradans, believe we need to do more,” stated Carroll. “I am incredibly honored to receive the endorsement from the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund. I look forward to working in partnership with them to continue my record of protecting our Colorado way of life in the U.S. House of Representatives.”
