Washington, D.C. – Former EPA Administrator and League of Conservation Voters Board Chair Carol M. Browner released the following statement on Acting EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler backing down and reversing Scott Pruitt’s dangerous Dirty Trucks loophole:

“Scott Pruitt’s loophole for glider truck pollution was a giveaway to his polluter allies, and Acting Administrator Wheeler is right to reverse this dangerous decision. Wheeler should take the same approach on other lifesaving protections for clean air and water like the Clean Power Plan, Clean Water Rule, limits on methane pollution and – most urgently – the Clean Car Standards. All of these environmental attacks came under Pruitt’s tainted, scandal-ridden leadership and need to be reversed immediately.”
