Washington D.C. – The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, which works to elect pro-environment candidates, announced today the endorsement of Jeff Ettinger for election to the U.S. House representing Minnesota’s 1st Congressional District.

“Jeff Ettinger is the kind of forward thinking and courageous leader Southern Minnesotans need to address climate change that is already impacting the outdoor traditions Minnesotans enjoy,” said  LCV Action Fund Senior Vice President for Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld. “Ettinger supports growing our clean energy economy because he understands that this is the best way to bring down energy costs for families. We need leaders like Jeff Ettinger who will help ensure Southern Minnesota continues to lead on clean energy, clean air, clean water and healthy communities.”

“Jeff Ettinger will always work to grow Minnesota’s clean energy economy and lower costs for our families,” said Conservation Minnesota Voter Center Executive Director Paul Austin. “Ettinger understands that we need reliable, affordable, clean energy to power a growing economy in Greater Minnesota. We are glad to see LCV Action Fund support Ettinger’s campaign and we look forward to working with such a proven leader.”

“I’m committed to building a sustainable future for Southern Minnesota,” said Jeff Ettinger. “Unlike my opponent, I will vote for green technologies and energy efficiencies that bring good jobs to our district. The future of Southern Minnesota relies on elected representatives who take climate change seriously, and I’m proud to have LCV Action Fund’s support in my dedication to doing so.”
