LCV Action Fund Announces New Slate of Endorsements for U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives

Jul 25, 2024

Washington D.C. – Today, the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, which works to elect pro-environment candidates, announced new endorsements of one candidate for election to the U.S. Senate and four candidates for election to the U.S. House of Representatives. The endorsements include U.S. Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-25) and candidates Katrina Christiansen (ND-Sen), Wisconsin State Assemblymember Katrina Shankland (WI-03), Eugene Vindman (VA-07), and former U.S. Representative and Wisconsin Assembly Democratic Leader Peter Barca (WI-01).

“As election season continues to heat up and the excitement from climate voters is palpable on the ground all across the country, LCV Action Fund is excited to announce our latest endorsements for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives,” said LCV Action Fund Senior Vice President for Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld. “The stakes of the election become clearer every day as we continue to see record-breaking heat and increased frequency of ‘natural’ disasters. We need to expand the pro-environment majority in the U.S. Senate and elect more members in the U.S. House who support strong climate action. LCV Action Fund is proud to support these candidates who are committed to fighting for the future of our planet and a clean energy economy with good-paying, family sustaining jobs.”

LCV Action Fund’s other endorsements to date for the 2023-2024 election cycle can be found here.

About LCV Action Fund
The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, the connected federal political action committee (PAC) of the League of Conservation Voters, works to elect leaders who stand up for a clean, healthy environment and to defeat anti-environment candidates who oppose climate action. Since the 1990 election cycle, LCVAF has helped elect and re-elect 95 U.S. Senators and 482 members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Over the last several years, our efforts have also helped elevate climate change and clean energy as critical issues in key elections.
