WASHINGTON – League of Conservation Voters (LCV) President Gene Karpinski today congratulates Senator Brian Schatz on his win in the Hawaii Senate Democratic primary. LCV spent over $500,000 supporting Senator Schatz in this race, launching a television ad campaign, mail program and phone calls to 50,000 Hawaii voters. LCV Action Fund also raised or contributed approximately $90,000 to his campaign through its GiveGreen program.
