Washington, D.C. — The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) congratulates Representatives Brendan Boyle (PA-02), and Summer Lee (PA-12) and Representatives-elect Bob Brooks (PA-07), Paige Cognetti (PA-08), and Janelle Stelson (PA-10) on their wins in Pennsylvania.
“Pennsylvanians made it clear tonight that they want leaders who will put their families and communities ahead of Big Polluters and corporate interests,” said LCV President Pete Maysmith. “These pro-democracy climate champions understand that Pennsylvania families deserve affordable clean energy, clean air and water, and leaders who will stand up for their communities and against Trump’s corrupt agenda. We congratulate them on their victories and look forward to working together to build a cleaner, healthier future, and defending our democracy.”
This year LCV launched a new field program, Clean Energy Corps, to mobilize voters in support of pro-environment, pro-democracy candidates and work alongside campaigns in battleground states, including Paige Cognetti in Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District. Clean Energy Corps organizers knocked on over 160,000 doors across three high-priority congressional districts.
LCV Victory Fund invested over $1.2 million to elect Janelle Stelson and defeat Dirty Dozen member Scott Perry. The spending included digital and content creator ads that featured voter testimonials that highlight Perry’s votes to raise energy costs and his record of taking money from energy companies and corporate interests. In addition to digital ads, spending also included a broadcast TV ad focused on Perry’s votes in favor of the Iran War, which caused gas prices to skyrocket, and his ties to corporate donors. LCV Victory Fund also invested $500,000 to defeat Ryan Mackenzie and elect Bob Brooks. Spending included digital ads focused on Mackenzie’s record of taking campaign donations from Big Oil and utility companies, while voting to raise utility costs for Pennsylvanians.
LCV’s GreenRoots member mobilization program mobilized LCV members in Pennsylvania for the Madeleine Dean and Janelle Stelson campaigns, including a canvassing event in support of Janelle Stelson in Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District, as part of a nationwide field program to help elect environmental champions.
Environmental donors contributed $1,077,000 to Pennsylvania candidates via GiveGreen. GiveGreen — a partnership between LCV Victory Fund and NRDC Action Votes that helps grassroots donors directly contribute to pro-environment candidates — raised $28.8 million for the 2026 cycle.
These are just some of the climate champions who won up and down the ballot in Pennsylvania, reaffirming that addressing the climate crisis and affordable clean energy solutions are winning issues for voters.
