WASHINGTON, D.C. – Before the CNN Democratic Debate tonight, LCV members voted on a question for the moderators to ask the candidates. LCV Senior Vice President of Campaigns Daniel J. Weiss issued the following statement:

“Before tonight’s debate, LCV’s members voted to urge the moderators to ask the candidates: ‘Given the large number of climate change deniers in Congress, how do you plan on enacting your agenda to fight climate change?’ Tonight, instead of a stage crowded with candidates who ignore climate change, we’re hoping to have a group of potential presidents discussing their ideas to do something about it. In the run up to international climate talks in Paris later this year, it’s critical that we hear from the candidates about how they will maintain the momentum for action on climate.”
