Washington, D.C. – Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke today continued the Trump administration’s attacks on our parks and public lands by recommending further changes to several national monuments. League of Conservation Voters Senior Vice President for Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld released the following statement in response:
“The day after President Trump waged the largest attack on parks and monuments in our nation’s history, this administration still isn’t done selling out our public lands and waters to the highest bidder. By proposing more giveaways to drilling, mining, and other corporate interests, Secretary Zinke’s report shows that this administration will stop at nothing to help their polluter allies profit – even if it means going beyond their legal authority and ignoring outdoor enthusiasts, local tribes, and millions of public comments.”
