Washington, D.C. – The League of Conservation Voters released the following statement on the temporary government funding agreement from President Gene Karpinski:

“President Trump, Mitch McConnell and Republican leaders in Congress have a long history of making empty promises and should never have shut down the government in the first place. They’ve had months to come to a budget agreement that protects Dreamers, provides disaster relief for families devastated by recent hurricanes, wildfires and mudslides, extends CHIP, and boosts investments in our communities on par with military spending and without any anti-environmental policy riders. Now let’s stop the games and make it happen.”
