Washington, DC – In response to the Democratic and Republican Senate caucuses electing their leadership teams for the 115th Congress, LCV Senior Vice President for Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld issued the following statement:

“When it comes to the environment, this chart really says it all. The contrast between the incoming Democratic and Republican leadership teams in the Senate is astonishing. While Senator McConnell sides with polluters every step of the way, we are confident that Senator Schumer and his leadership will stand strong against the environmental attacks we know are coming. LCV is ready to go to the mat to defend both our cornerstone environmental protections and the recent progress we’ve made.”
