WASHINGTON, D.C. — With fewer than 100-days to the expiration of America’s most important conservation program, the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), LCV Land Conservation Fellow Andy French issued the following statement: 

“Congress has less than 100 days to reauthorize the overwhelmingly popular Land and Water Conservation Fund before it expires at the end of September.  This critically important fund has successfully conserved treasured lands across the country, ranging from city parks to large landscapes, and enjoys broad bipartisan support. We have a moral obligation to future generations to continue investing in America’s parks, communities, and outdoor spaces, and we urge Congress to act immediately to do just that.”
