WASHINGTON DC—The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) President Gene Karpinski released this statement following the release of the Obama administration’s strategy to curb methane emissions, a part of his Climate Action Plan:

“This keeps up the steady drumbeat of progress on implementation of the President’s Climate Action Plan. We’re pleased that the Obama administration is elevating the need to address methane emissions. It’s another sign of the President’s commitment to confronting the climate crisis at a time of partisan gridlock in Washington, and we look forward to working with him to set commonsense standards limiting methane emissions.”
