Washington, D.C. — In response to the passing of Senator Dianne Feinstein, the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) and California Environmental Voters (EnviroVoters) released the following statement from LCV President Gene Karpinski and EnviroVoters CEO Mary Creasman:
“Today we mourn the passing of Senator Feinstein and are immensely grateful for her trailblazing and storied service to San Francisco, California, and our entire country. Throughout her remarkable career, Senator Feinstein broke barriers for women in politics and left a tremendous legacy of environmental accomplishments, from her work to protect millions of acres of California deserts, to safeguarding the Pacific coast from oil drilling to her landmark legislation on cleaner cars, and more. Our thoughts are with the Feinstein family during this difficult time.”
