WASHINGTON, DC –League of Conservation Voters President Gene Karpinski released this statement on Senator Barbara Boxer and Senator Dianne Feinstein’s leadership following their speeches yesterday during the Senate’s series of all-night speeches pressing for action on climate change:

“We’re thrilled that Senators Boxer and Feinstein joined with 29 colleagues from across the country to stand up to corporate polluters and give a voice to Californians demanding action on climate change. California is already seeing climate impacts, including historic drought, less winter snowpack, and stronger wildfires. We congratulate Senators Boxer and Feinstein on their leadership and will continue working with them to push for action to confront the climate crisis.”
