WASHINGTON, DC –League of Conservation Voters President Gene Karpinski released this statement on Senator Jeanne Shaheen’s leadership during the Senate’s series of all-night speeches pressing for action on climate change:

“We’re thrilled that Senator Shaheen joined with 30 colleagues from across the country to stand up to corporate polluters and give a voice New Hampshire citizens demanding action on climate change. New Hampshire is already seeing climate impacts, including less productive fisheries, decreased maple syrup production, and less fall foliage. We congratulate Senator Shaheen on her leadership and will continue working with her to push for action to confront the climate crisis.”
