Washington, D.C. – In response to the lack of a question on climate during the CNN debate in Houston tonight, LCV National Press Secretary Seth Stein issued the following statement:
“Tonight, the debate moderators failed to address the critical issue of climate change, even when nearly thirty thousand LCV members have previously asked CNN to do so. Instead, the most we heard from the candidates about climate and the environment was frontrunner and climate denier Donald Trump implying he would cut the EPA as president. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton has made addressing climate change a central piece of her campaign, demonstrating the leadership we need to build and expand on President Obama’s legacy of climate action.”
