WASHINGTON, DC – League of Conservation Voters (LCV) President Gene Karpinski released this statement ahead of the event in Washington, DC later today sounding the alarm for climate action, led by the Senate Climate Action Task Force, the Bicameral Climate Change Task Force, the Safe Climate Caucus and the Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition:
“This event is another indication of just how quickly the politics of climate change are shifting. The American people are standing with environmental champions and pushing back against the extreme agenda of corporate polluters like the Koch Brothers and their allies in Congress. It’s a wake-up call that Washington needs to hear following the release of the National Climate Assessment, and a message that will resonate as the EPA prepares to make major progress in the coming weeks.”
