Washington, D.C. — In response to House Chairmen DeFazio, Pallone, and Neal’s release of the framework outlining investments in surface transportation, aviation, water infrastructure, and clean energy from the Transportation and Infrastructure, the Energy and Commerce and the Ways and Means Committees, the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) released the following statement from Vice President of Government Affairs Sara Chieffo:

“We appreciate Chairmen DeFazio, Pallone, and Neal laying out a framework for a major investment in a wide range of infrastructure that can help fight climate change and safeguard communities. We look forward to digging into the details and working with these leaders to ensure that such a major infrastructure investment delivers on reducing climate and local air pollution, addresses racial and social inequality, and creates good, family-sustaining jobs. Done right, this can be a critical down payment on the badly-needed transition to a clean economy that works well for everyone.”
