Washington, D.C. – League of Conservation Voters Deputy Legislative Director Alex Taurel released the following statement on Senator Mitch McConnell’s intention to include a rider to drill in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in the final tax bill:

“Drilling in one of the last truly untouched places on Earth has no place in this train wreck of a tax bill. Votes should be delayed until Senator-elect Doug Jones is seated, and every Republican who cares about protecting our environment needs to vote no.”
