Las Vegas, NV – Today, LCV Victory Fund and the Sierra Club are releasing the second TV ad for their joint campaign in the Nevada Senate race. LCV Victory Fund, the Sierra Club, and EDF Action jointly announced the $1.85 million English and Spanish TV and digital ad campaign last week.

The new ad details Heck’s votes that put solar jobs in Nevada at risk to protect the profits of Big Oil and the Koch brothers. You can view the ad, “Working,” here, with backup here.

The ads script reads:

Voiceover: Thousands of Nevadans go to work every day producing clean solar energy. But when Congressman Joe Heck goes to work, he puts their jobs at risk. Voting against Nevada solar, and for billions in oil company tax breaks. While oil billionaires spend millions to elect Heck.

Concerned Voter Tory Ruppert: He’s representing the interests of big oil.

Concerned Voter Valery Neiberger: Joe Heck is not working for Nevada, he’s not working for our families, and he’s not working for me.

The TV ad campaign will run through October 24 on broadcast, cable and Spanish broadcast statewide. Targeted digital ads will run statewide concurrently. LCV Victory Fund partnered with EDF Action on the first week of English-language TV, as well as the Spanish-language TV and digital ad. LCV Victory Fund is partnering with the Sierra Club on this second week of English TV.

LCV named Heck to its signature Dirty Dozen list in June. LCV Victory Fund previously announced over $3 million invested to defeat Heck, including $1.4 million in an ongoing persuasion canvass campaign and TV advertising. The Sierra Club has identified the Nevada Senate race as a top target for the organization this election cycle and will have further announcements about engagement in the state in the weeks to come.
