WASHINGTON, DC – Today Hillary Clinton announced her opposition to Arctic Ocean drilling. In response the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund released the following statement from Tiernan Sittenfeld, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs:

“We are very excited to see Secretary Clinton come out in opposition to Arctic Ocean drilling. She recognizes that we have a moral obligation to act on climate for the sake of our children and grandchildren and that Arctic drilling is incompatible with those efforts. This builds on her long record of environmental leadership and adds to the growing opposition to Arctic drilling.”
